Queen Elizabeth Theatre

ParkingAccessible parking is available at the Easy Park Queen Elizabeth Theatre parkade, on Cambie Street, with an accessible parking decal. Accessible parking must be reserved by phone 7-10 days in advance and is subject to availability. There is an elevator from the parkade to the QET Hamilton Street entrance. This is available 60 minutes before show times.
Drop Off and Pick-upThere is an accessible pull through driveway to the audience entrance at 630 Hamilton Street to drop off or pick up passengers. Doors open one hour before posted performance times.

There are several parking lots in the vicinity, including at the VPL main branch in the 700 block of Hamilton Steet and behind the building on Cambie Street near Dunsmuir.

The theatre does have one wheelchair that can be used to assist a patron from their vehicle at the front door to their seat. You may not use it to sit in it during a performance as it may be needed for other patrons. Please speak to the Head Ticket Taker and they will assist you.

SeatingWheelchair and accessible seating is available on the orchestra and mezzanine levels.

Orchestra: row 25, seats 31 through 40 and seats 60 through 69.

Mezzanine: row 34, seats 15 through 20 and seats 41 through 46.

Best seats for viewing rock concerts while remaining seated – mezzanine level accessible seats.

*Please note, some ticket sellers, including Ticketmaster, will call these rows ‘WC’ instead of listing the row number e.g. Mezzanine Left WC seat 15.

You may purchase one accessible seat and one seat for a companion.

All Balcony and Dress Circle levels have many steep steps.

Moveable arm rests are available in Rows 22 to 25 seats 80; rows 21 to 24 seats 60, rows 21 to 24 seats 40 and rows 22 to 25 seats 20. Below row 22 the aisles in Orchestra have steps.

Booster seats are available at the QET Coat Check to rent for a small fee, or you are welcome to bring your own.

WashroomsSingle occupancy gender inclusive accessible washrooms are in the main lobby by the front doors and on the mezzanine level across from the elevator. Accessible stalls are also included in the mezzanine men’s and women’s washrooms.
ElevatorsThere is an elevator at the Hamilton Street entrance from the main lobby to the left mezzanine and left balcony lobby levels. There is an elevator from the QET parkade to the QET Hamilton Street entrance which is available 60 minutes before show times.
Oxygen TanksIf you wish to bring an oxygen tank with you, for your safety and comfort we ask that you purchase seats in the accessible seating area.
Hearing Assistance

The QET is equipped with a RF Advanced System. Currently the LR-4200 receiver can be connected to a Universal Ear Speaker or headphones (with 1/8” / 3.5mm Aux connector) or to a neck loop lanyard for use with T-Coil hearing aids. Please go the coat check upon arrival to request a hearing assist unit. These units are free to borrow – with the deposit of ID or a major credit card (that will be returned when you return the unit.) Patrons may opt to use their own headphones (1/8” / 3.5mm Aux connector.) Patrons wanting to use either a VCT headset or neck-loop and receiver (for T-Coil equipped personal hearing aids, or cochlear implants) should request these in advance by emailing VCTAudienceServices@vancouver.ca

BinocularsPlease go the coat check upon arrival to request binoculars. These units are available on a first come, first served basis and are free to borrow – with the deposit of ID or a major credit card (that will be returned when you return the unit.)
Certified Guide and Service DogsCertified guide and service dogs are allowed into VCT venues. British Columbia’s Guide Dog and Service Dog Act and regulation govern how guide and service dogs and their handlers are certified. Certification increases public safety, raises training standards and improves public access for dog and handler teams. For medium to large dogs please purchase seats in the accessible seating areas Emotional Support Animals (not certified) are currently not allowed in VCT venues.

Orpheum

LocationThe Orpheum has two audience entrances located at 601 Smithe Street, Vancouver, BC – accessible entrance – and 884 Granville Street, stairs only, no elevator.
ParkingParking near the theatre is limited. Give yourself extra time before your event to find parking. There is no parkade attached to the Orpheum, but there is parking in the neighbourhood, at meters, and public parking lots. 898 Seymour Street (Symphony Place) is one option or an open-air parking lot at 848 Seymour Street accessed via Seymour.
Drop Off and Pick-upPassengers can be dropped off at the Smithe Street entrance. Drop off is in a traffic lane of Smithe Street and you will have to cross a Bike Lane to access the sidewalk. Doors open one hour before performances.

The theatre does have one wheelchair that can be used to assist a patron from their vehicle on Smithe Street to their seat. You may not use it to sit in it during a performance as it may be needed for other patrons. Please speak to the Head Ticket Taker and they will assist you.

SeatingWheelchair seating is available on the Orchestra and Dress Circle levels.

Orchestra: row 23, seats 10 – 12 and seats 68 – 70 and row 29 seats 13 to 20 and seats 60 to 67.

Dress Circle row 4 seats 109 to 112 and seats 168 to 171.

The best seats for viewing rock concerts while remaining seated are the Dress Circle level accessible seating with row 23 Orchestra accessible seating as second choice.

ANNEX

Location823 Seymour Street, Vancouver, BC between Robson and Smithe
ParkingParking near the theatre is limited. Give yourself extra time before your event to find parking. There is a small parkade under the ANNEX with no elevator access. There is parking in the neighbourhood, at meters, and public parking lots. Metropolitan Towers at 930 Seymour Street is one option (the elevator closes at 10:30pm) or an open air parking lot at 848 Seymour Street access via Seymour.

There is an elevator from the street entrance to the Main and Gallery Levels of the theatre.

SeatingWheelchair seating is available on the Main Level at row 1.

Due to the small size of the venue most shows are sold as general admittance without reserved seating. Should you need accessible seating please speak to staff member on the Main Level after arriving.

Some shows at the ANNEX will have cabaret style seating on the Main Level with or without the bleacher and Gallery seating (balcony).

The bleacher seating – rows 2 to 10 is accessed by stairs, in the Gallery seating there are no stairs.

Best leg room is in the Gallery.

WashroomsThere is one wheelchair stall in each of the men’s and women’s washroom on the Main Level.
ElevatorThere is an elevator from street level and between the two floors.
Oxygen TanksIf you wish to bring an oxygen tank with you, for your safety and comfort we ask that you choose seats in the Gallery (balcony) section. For cabaret style events with table seating, you can sit anywhere that is convenient.
